We are recruiting for an experienced Fundraising & Partnership Manager , to set the strategic direction of fundraising, pursue new opportunities, and ensure communications align to promote the charity brand, raise awareness and support fundraising initiatives. This new role will focus on securing funds from trusts and foundations, partnerships, and other innovative ways of raising funds.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

Qualification in fundraising and/or 3 years+ experience in fundraising delivering results.

Experience of developing fundraising strategies.

Experience and strong track record of writing and securing grants.

Experience sourcing, securing and stewarding donors, funders, and supporters.
Experienced in producing compelling press releases, cases for support, letters, appeals and other fundraising content, adapting the style and tone as needed.

Ability to build relationships internally and externally, motivate colleagues and volunteers.

Experience using fundraising databases.

Ability to set and meet fundraising targets and of income and expenditure budget management.

We are seeking an inspiring, passionate, organised, and proactive leader, with excellent negotiation and communication skills, verbal and written. You must be comfortable with public speaking, able to deliver presentations to a range of audiences, and be confident networking.

Location: Leicester, hybrid & flexible working



Purpose of the role



Maximising income and creating a diverse income stream by working closely with the CEO, providing leadership on the development, implementation of our funding strategy and developing relationships with donors.

Key tasks/responsibilities

:

1. Lead the development and implementation a fundraising strategy and plan to include identification of funding streams, opportunities to increase and diversify funding streams.

2. Meet agreed fundraising targets for all fundraising activities.

3. Research and identify potential new funders, write and submit funding applications/bids and build strong relationships with donors.

4. Proactively research and identify new supporters, building and supporting a network of regular individual as well as institutional donors such as trusts, charitable foundations and corporate entities

5. Research and apply for local charity of the year opportunities.

6. Develop corporate partnerships, engage with local businesses, develop cross sector collaborations and account manage these partnerships

7. Establish and maintain an effective database of donors and supporters that is compliant with all relevant data protection regulations; acknowledge and accurately record donations promptly

8. Lead and deliver the preparation of both large and small fundraising campaigns, for both the medium and longer term.

9. Recruit, lead, manage and motivate a volunteer-led fundraising team to support with campaigns.

10. Manage all aspects of individual giving including appeals, regular giving and campaigns.

11. Working closely with the Marketing role, identify and implement opportunities for digital fundraising and online giving. To include crowdfunding, peer to peer giving and leveraging social media for campaigns

12. Develop an innovative and engaging fundraising pack tailored to each donor type, and launch social media campaigns to support the widest possible range of community fundraising activities

13. Represent Freeva at public events, presentations and other charitable fundraising activities; addressing audiences as appropriate and promoting Freeva's work

14. Produce & present fundraising reports for trustee meetings and other times as required

15. Advise and support the CEO to meet regulatory requirements and fundraising standards.

16. Ensure all fundraising and marketing activity meets GDPR and data compliance

Person Specification



- Fundraising Qualification or equivalent relevant experience. (E)

- At least 3 years' experience in a fundraising role with a proven track record of generating income from the Local Authority, trusts , corporate, individuals and community) (E).

- Understanding of key charitable fundraising revenue streams (including individual giving, major donor, direct marketing, regular giving, in memoriam, legacies, trusts and foundations) and evidence of success in at least two of these areas (E).

- Experience of using database management systems (D).

- Knowledge of PowerPoint and experience of using databases, websites and other software such as Publisher and Adobe packages (D).

- Able to engage, build and maintain relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.

- Results-oriented and able to operate within performance indicators and targets (E).

- Excellent administrative skills with rigorous attention to detail (E).

- Ability to work collaboratively and transparently as part of a team and provide support for colleagues (E).

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines and be calm under pressure (E).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (E).

- Professional, enthusiastic and self-motivated (E).
