Job Overview


We are seeking a Fundraising Strategic Lead who will lead us into the future, through building on our Strategic plan and achieving our fundraising goals. We have a substantial portfolio of funding contracts and a small fundraising team that you will oversee. We aim to diversify our income streams over the next few years and seek to invest resources in building a brand that will capture people's imaginations and hearts, thereby increasing our donors and giving profile. With increased resources allocated to diversifying our income, this post would suit someone who is a good all-rounder, possessing experience in a range of funding relationships and expertise in diversifying funding income within a not-for-profit context.

We are seeking a compassionate, curious, and meticulous Fundraising Strategic Lead who manages with integrity and stands for LGBTQ+ rights, is committed to racial and social justice, and strives for health equity. You are someone who enjoys working collaboratively across organisational teams in the interest of good wellbeing for all and good governance.

You have experience in building and managing operational systems tailored to the not-for- profit sector, supporting colleagues in the design and management of these systems. You are a creative thinker with entrepreneurial ideas and understand how to manage a breadth of income through multiple digital platforms, applications, bids, events and corporate

partnerships.

Responsibilities



Develop our fundraising strategy based on key recommendations from our Strategic Plan Oversee our funding portfolio, steward meaningful relationships with our trust and foundation funders, and support the development of individual donors. Oversee and develop our fundraising team, including line management of our Senior Trusts Fundraiser (0.6FTE) and our Fundraising Executive (0.6FTE) Source and apply for funds to meet a range of strategic priorities over the next period, including managing, reviewing and renewing some of our existing grants. Develop our strategic work to diversify our income sources, including overseeing, with support from the Fundraising Executive, our plans for significantly increased individual donors Play a role on our senior management team, including helping to shape the direction and strategy of the organisation Provide support to other Strategic Programme leads, to ensure we maintain a high standard of reporting to trusts and foundations, as well as statutory funders Source and develop ideas across the organisation for new funding opportunities, including chairing a fundraising strategy group which will meet quarterly with a wide range of internal stakeholders Play a role in networking with other agencies and stakeholders to promote our work, and provide support around any event-based fundraising we develop

Experience



Experience in successfully leading teams through transformation and change processes Experience in developing and winning bids up to varying values of between 50,000 and 1million in a not-for-profit context, including trusts and foundations, statutory contracts, and experience of individual giving and managing donor relationships. Experience of managing a fundraising team in the not-for-profit sector Experience of developing and delivering fundraising strategies for a not-for-profit organisation Experience of providing support to fundraising colleagues and others, through overseeing high quality fundraising bids and reporting Experience of developing and reviewing fundraising policies and procedure documents Experience of line management and supervision, including setting goals and managing performance objectives
