- We are seeking a Funeral Director to join our independent family funeral service as a new member of our team. You will assist in delivering a quality and empathetic service to our clients and the deceased, including arranging and conducting funeral services, being a member of our on-call rota and carrying out all necessary administrative duties. Experience in arranging and conducting funeral services is essential.
Duties
- Providing expert guidance and support throughout the funeral arrangement process to the families we help
- Making funeral arrangements in accordance with family wishes and conducting the funeral on the day of the service
- Ensuring all administrative aspects of the funeral arrangements are completed promptly and accurately
- We are a small team, so you will be working collaboratively with colleagues to support them with any funeral arrangements they may be overseeing
- Participating as a member of our on-call rota, including evenings and weekends (this is on an every-other week basis)
Essential Requirements
- Full clean manual driving licence - for insurance purposes you must be aged 21 years or older
- Must live within one hour's drive of Cranleigh
-Experience of working as a Funeral Director
- Understanding and knowledge of all legal processes associated with arranging a funeral
- Strong organisational and communication skills, and a keen attention to detail
- Flexibility to support our on-call service, including overnight, weekends and bank-holidays
