Responsibilities
Meet with grieving families to understand their wishes and provide compassionate guidance throughout the funeral planning process
Coordinate all logistical details of funeral services, including scheduling, transportation, and venue arrangements
Oversee the preparation of the deceased, including cosmetology, sanitation, dissection (if applicable), and ensuring respectful handling in accordance with health standards
Assist families with bereavement support, offering emotional comfort and resources for coping
Manage event planning aspects such as arranging floral displays, music selections, and program printing to create personalized ceremonies
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to sanitation, heavy lifting, and handling of remains
Conduct sales activities by explaining service options and assisting families in selecting appropriate arrangements
Experience
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate empathetically and clearly during sensitive situations
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when transporting caskets or equipment
Experience in event planning to coordinate funeral services that meet families' wishes effectively
