Overview


We are looking for a personal, caring and professional Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy and professionalism, guiding families through the personalised process of arranging funerals for their loved ones. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care.

Duties



Guide families through the planning of their loved ones funeral service. Coordinate the logistics for funeral services. Prepare necessary documentation, keeping records updated and accurate. Conduct Funeral Services , ensuring that all details are executed smoothly and are of the highest standard. Provide support and guidance to bereaved families throughout the entire process, including legal and administrative processes. Maintain the funeral home's facilities and equipment to ensure a respectful environment. Integrate as part of the diverse and experienced team, with a requirement to attend one or more of the office locations, as per the needs of the business. Work with other professionals external to the business, such as clergy and crematorium staff, to facilitate services.

Skills



Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with grieving families. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the role when necessary. Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of planning a Funeral Service. Professional demeanour that reflects the values of the funeral service industry Full UK Clean Driving License and confident driving a range of larger vehicles.

On-Call Requirements



During your on-call you will be required to respond to first calls, this may be private call outs or on behalf of The Coroner.

One evening on call per week (from 3pm to 8am the following morning) One weekend on call in every 4 (Friday evening 3pm to 8am Monday morning)
