We are looking for an experienced Furnace Engineer with a passion for leadership and mentoring. We are looking for a Furnace Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience to lead a team of dedicated furnace technicians in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of furnace operations, drive preventative maintenance, and be the go-to expert when things heat up--literally.
What you'll be doing as our Furnace Engineering upervisor:
Lead & Organise a team of furnace technicians, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Coach & Mentor technicians, sharing your knowledge and building team capability.
Plan Preventative Maintenance to keep our high-temperature furnaces running reliably.
Respond to Breakdowns with urgency and expertise, coordinating fast and effective repairs.
Be Contactable Out of Hours to guide and support technicians when urgent issues arise.
Drive Continuous Improvement in furnace performance, safety, and reliability.
Work Hands-On with both vacuum and non-vacuum furnace systems.
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Furnace Engineering Supervisor:
10+ years' experience working with high-temperature furnaces (vacuum and non-vacuum).
Strong technical knowledge of furnace systems and maintenance practices.
Proven leadership or mentoring experience in a technical environment.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach and a calm head under pressure.
Nice to have:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Familiarity with CMMS or other maintenance planning tools.
