Working as part of our Batch & Furnace team, you will be responsible for ensuring the furnace is operating safely and effectively. Your key responsibilities will include:



Ensure safe and effective operation of the furnace, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Monitor and control furnace temperature, pressure, and other critical parameters. Track and analyse furnace performance data, identifying trends and anomalies. Take prompt corrective actions to address any operational issues or deviations from standard procedures. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding furnace status and any concerns. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all actions taken, including maintenance activities and operational adjustments. Conduct regular inspections of furnace equipment and associated systems to identify potential problems. Perform routine maintenance tasks and assist with more complex repairs as needed. Manage and optimise fuel consumption to ensure efficient furnace operation. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and meet quality standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance furnace efficiency and productivity. Assist in training new team members on furnace operation procedures and safety protocols. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials used in the furnace process. Comply with all environmental regulations related to furnace operations. Attend and contribute to regular team meetings and safety briefings.

This position is a shift position working 12 hours shifts 4 on 4 off.

Qualifications



Prior background working in industrial production, preferably a chemical processing facility Able to work independently Able to follow written and verbal instruction Able to demonstrate basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products Able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and operating instructions Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
