At BE Event Hire - we are a furniture hire and sales company.

We are looking for Warehouse Assistants to prepare and deliver/ collect furniture.

Job Types:

Full-time hours on a temporary contract - from

Spring 2026 Until the end of October 6 to 9 months contracts

Benefits:

The hours are guaranteed 40 hours per week with potential for overtime. Salary 12.75p/h Starting basic for over 21 years old. It is time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours on weekdays. Additional half time on top of that rate, so it's possible to earn 19.12 for hours over 40 hours in the working week or 25.50 an hour at weekends. Throughout a normal summer season there is usually a good amount of overtime to be worked. Students looking for holiday jobs are paid according to age as per the National Living Wage

Under 21 years old pay will be as per the National Living Wage plus overtime schedule as above

Role Responsibilities:

The role is a hybrid role split between helping in a warehouse prepping, picking, wrapping parcels for couriers , packing or delivering/ collecting orders - it includes preparing items of furniture for hire and packing for sales. Cleaning/ sorting / loading vans and lorries by hand and by forklift if qualified. (Current or previous Counterbalance forklift licence a bonus ). Working in dispatch or delivering and collecting the furniture, offloading and setting it up on site Sometimes you will work independently, sometimes you will work in a team in a yard or warehouse or at a venue such as the ExCel / NEC or a music festival or delivering to a house or venue. We have weekend work, so whilst core hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, if the business requires it you will need to work some hours during evenings and some weekends. There will be boxing of parcels to send out by couriers that have been sold from our sales depot. We also have a woodshed where we repair and make furniture, so you may be required to work in here on occasions. No actual academic qualifications required but a good work ethic and attention to detail are paramount

Essential Requirements:

Good attention to detail, The ability to count accurately and fill in appropriate paperwork. A very high degree of customer and product care A very flexible attitude and willingness to help and learn a variety of skills. The role is physically active - moving furniture - so a good level of fitness and self motivation is needed.
