Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Furniture Delivery Assistant / Drivers Mate to join our dynamic team at our Rochford Warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks on and off the van, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical demands associated with delivering large goods.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage. Engage in picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch. Conduct regular checks on van inventory to ensure accurate stock. Assist in delivery processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Utilise assembly knowledge to complete delivery requirements. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals. Lifting Heavy goods into customers properties with care and consideration. Provide high quality customer service

Qualifications

Previous experience in a van/warehouse setting is preferred but not essential. Previous experience in customer service/dealing with customers directly Lifting and assembly experience. Preferred, but not essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Knowledge of materials handling techniques to ensure safe practices are followed. Experience with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success in this role. A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within a fast-paced environment.

Shift Pattern : Furniture outlet operates on a 2 week rota , within Week one the successful candidate will work Monday to Friday and during Week two the successful candidate will work Monday to Saturday

Driving Licence (preferred)

Pay: 12.50-12.55 per hour
