Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting furniture to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all driving regulations.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload items, which may involve heavy lifting, ensuring that all products are handled with care. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety at all times. Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road, including cleaning , preparing sofas and beds for despatch. Working in a team.

Requirements

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial. Previous warehouse and driving experience is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
