Salary: 41,838 - 50,359 (Candidates with TQFE will commence on 48,227 per annum).
You will deliver furniture classes focusing on skills development within furniture craft, restoration, polishing and upholstery.
You will be required to teach a range of woodworking skills that will be used in the manufacture of different kinds of furniture, this will include modern and traditional jointing techniques. You will teach about the range of joints in furniture manufacture including Dovetail, Mortice and Tenon and Dowel and Biscuit. Furniture polishing and upholstery. CAD knowledge would be beneficial. This practical based course is delivered in the furniture workshops' and machine shop. You will be required to have a comprehensive knowledge in the safe use of a modern well-equipped workshop including up to date Health and Safety practices.
You will possess an equivalent level qualification along with recent and relevant vocational experience in power tools and wood working machinery.
A TQFE (or equivalent) and previous teaching experience is desirable.
