The Future Cruise Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring sales maximisation from on board guests, gaining commitment for future cruise bookings.
Future bookings generated from guests on board represents a significant & growing revenue stream for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the expanding on board sales team and make a positive impact to the continued growth of this important revenue generating area.
These high profile on board sales roles carry much responsibility and it is essential that all booking information is accurate and entered correctly so key strengths will be a high degree of accuracy along with good organisational skills.
More specific duties include:
Day to day responsibility of future cruise sales activity for the allocated vessel(s). This includes on board promotion and making the bookings;
Arranging and attending on board sales events & presentations;
On board representation of the Oceans loyalty club incl. hosting social events;
Responsibility for future cruise sale promotion.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably within the travel industry and can demonstrate experience in working & exceeding sales targets. They will also need to possess and demonstrate outstanding customer service skills. You will be driven to succeed in all you do and your outgoing and confident personality goes without saying. You will need to be able to follow strict administrative procedures, have sound I.T. skills and display a strong teamwork ethic. The ability to present with knowledge & enthusiasm is also required for this role.
Previous experience in on board future cruise sales would be an advantage, along with experience in sales promotional activities. Previous retail travel experience preferred and a wide knowledge of worldwide destinations is essential.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary and a 3:1 work rotation of three months on board followed by one month of leave.
