About us
The London Podiatry Centre is a specialist clinic in Lewisham led by a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon. We combine expert clinical care with advanced gait analysis and orthotic technologies to help all of our patients. You'll join a friendly, multidisciplinary team with an established gait laboratory.
The role
We welcome applicants at two levels and will tailor responsibilities to experience:
Core responsibilities:
Conduct gait assessments using video, pressure mats and (where applicable) motion-capture systems.
Prepare patients, capture high-quality data, and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
Support podiatrists during biomechanical and clinical evaluations.
Assist with the manufacture, modification and finishing of custom foot orthoses.
Maintain lab equipment; uphold hygiene, safety and QA standards.
Provide clear, professional communication to patients and colleagues.
What we're looking for:
Essential -
GCSEs
Confident communicator with excellent written English and attention to detail.
Comfortable with technology and data (reporting, spreadsheets, file management, video tools).
Genuine interest in human movement, biomechanics, podiatry, sports science or engineering.
Reliable, punctual, organised and patient-centred, strong team player.
Desirable -
Prior experience in a clinical, biomechanics, sports science or technical lab setting.
Further study in a related field (e.g. Sports/Exercise Science, Biomechanics, Engineering, Health & Social Care).
Familiarity with gait tools (e.g. video analysis, plantar pressure platforms, 3D motion capture, Vicon).
We will provide full in-house training and mentorship. Candidates with greater experience may be offered enhanced responsibilities and salary.
