Role Overview:
We are looking for a charismatic, enthusiastic and reliable Games Master to join our team! As a Games Master, you'll be at the heart of the escape room experience -- welcoming players, setting the scene, guiding them through their mission, and making sure they leave with big smiles.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and brief players, explaining the rules, health and safety standards and immersing them in the story.
Monitor games via cameras and audio, offering clues and support when needed.
Reset and prepare rooms between sessions with care and attention to detail.
Make sure all props and puzzles are in working order.
Deliver post-game debriefs, celebrate wins (or near-misses!), and take group photos.
Handle bookings, payments, and general customer queries.
Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
Tidy and clean the escape rooms, reception, workshop, games master area and bathrooms.
Tabletop Escape Rooms & Events:
In addition to our in-house escape rooms, eeek! also hosts tabletop escape room experiences at events across Scotland. As part of the team, you may have the chance to:
Travel to different venues around Scotland to host games.
Set up and run tabletop escape room events for groups of all sizes.
Represent Eeek! Escape Rooms at festivals, corporate events, and special occasions.
What We're Looking For:
Friendly, confident, charismatic and engaging personality.
Strong communication skills and a flair for storytelling.
Quick thinker with good problem-solving skills.
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Comfortable using computers and technology.
Previous customer service or hospitality experience.
An interest in puzzles and games, even if you are not particularly good at them yourself.
Attention to detail - you must be able to be calm and friendly while under pressure and it is essential you can think on your feet. The Escape Room experience is a live event and you must be ready to handle the unexpected.
Hours & Availability:
We are mainly looking for team members who can work Friday to Sunday, with additional hours available during holidays and busy periods.
This role is perfect for students who want flexible weekend work alongside their studies.
