Garden Centre Assistant

to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the gardening department Assist customers with inquiries regarding gardening products and services. Providing a warm and friendly welcome to our customers, helping with product selection and going the extra mile to deliver an exceptional customer experience Operating tills and handling transactions Assisting with stock management and creating attractive displays in our Shop, Garden Centre and Solid Fuel area Ensuring the garden centre remains clean, safe, and welcoming

What we are looking for:

Excellent communication skills for customer interaction. A positive, helpful attitude and strong customer service skills An interest in plants, gardening and associated products or willingness to learn (training provided) A flair for retail merchandising and product presentation A team player who can also work independently An ability to left heavy items safely and work on your feet for extended periods Reliability and flexibility, including weekend availability
22-32 Hours Per week, some weekend working is expected as we are open 7 days per week. We operate a Rota system which can be discussed at the interview stage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 22 - 32 per week
