The Role

We are seeking a seasonal, Full time Garden Centre Assistant to carry out a variety of general duties across our store. This is a temporary seasonal, full time role with potential for permanent role for the right candidate.

Hours: 40 hours per week, including one weekend day working

Your duties will include

Creative display of products Replenishing stock and pricing using a variety of methods including labels, shelf tickets and signs Assisting customers with their purchases Till operation General housekeeping

The Candidate

You will be a team player who will be comfortable working across all parts of our garden centre as required. Possessing good communication skills you will help us to retain and grow our loyal customer base by providing first class customer service which sets us apart.

You will have a positive attitude and drive with a natural affinity with team orientation.

Dunbar is a busy garden centre so you must be able to work at pace during peak times and maintain high standards. You will be professional, reliable and a good time-keeper. The role can be physically demanding at times due to the nature of our business and you therefore must be able to deal with the rigours of this type of retail environment including lifting/moving heavy items.

You will be familiar with technology including email and hand held devices, experience of working with an Epos system is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

The farm shop showcases the best produce from around the area, local artists work shines in the gift department and sustainably sourced plants flourish in the outside plant department.
