Bampton Garden Plants, a truly independent Family owned Garden Centre, has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail manager with a strong Horticultural knowledge and background.

As Plant Area Manager (Hardy and Seasonal Plants) you will have full responsibility for the both the operational and commercial performance of your departments.

Other key responsibilities will include:

Leading, supporting, and empowering a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team within the plant area.

Delivery of all sales and commercial targets, analysing data to make key decisions.

Planning, buying, and control of stock ranges and levels seasonally.

Stock Maintenance, delivering top quality plants to the highest standard.

Presenting and creating inspirational and aspirational displays through visual merchandising.

Ensuring Customer Service Excellence is at the core of everything we do.

Supporting the day to day management team with the overall running and objectives of the business.

What we are looking for:

Strong retail management experience, preferably from within the garden centre sector, with a commercial mindset to maximise sales opportunities.

In depth Horticultural knowledge of hardy and bedding plants, as well as seasonal trends and best sellers.

Ambitious, and dynamic leader who can make decisions and grow the departments, while taking the team forward.

Enthusiastic and passionate about plants, as well as delivering an exceptional experience for customers.

Well organised, good at planning and data analysis

Reliable and dedicated to implementing a unique and special environment

Alternate weekends required
