Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities, including landscape maintenance and groundskeeping. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of garden care, as well as experience with hand and power tools. You will play a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and operational efficiency of our outdoor spaces. Summer hours - 37.5 pw, Winter -26 pw

Responsibilities

Perform regular maintenance tasks on the grounds, including mowing, trimming, and irrigation. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various maintenance projects. Assist in landscape maintenance by planting, pruning, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and trees. Ensure that all garden areas are kept tidy and free from debris. Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify any maintenance needs or potential hazards. Collaborate with other team members to complete larger landscaping projects as required. Maintain equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of gardening techniques, including planting and irrigation methods. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to garden care and maintenance.
