Average 40 hours per week

27,000 to 28,000 (Dependent on experience and certification)

Full clean driver's licence and relevant experience in a similar role is essential for this job.

Urban Utopia Landscapes Ltd is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our expanding team of qualified Horticulturists and Gardeners.

We work with residential and commercial clients across Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Central Scotland, providing grounds maintenance, alongside soft and hard landscaping services. We also specialise in the installation and maintenance of green roofs.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

Grass cutting using walk behind and ride on mowers Strimming Edging Weeding Hedge cutting Pruning shrubs Planting Spraying Installing and maintaining green roofs Checking and maintaining machines
You will also be required to drive company vehicles, whilst towing a trailer.

Essential Criteria

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (References will be taken up) Full clean driver's license, held for a minimum of 3 years Experience of using walk behind and ride on mowers

Please note, candidates who do not meet the essential criteria, will not be considered for this role.

Desirable Criteria

PA1, PA6 Spraying certificates Horticultural qualification Experience using zero turn lawnmowers Plant knowledge CSCS Card First aid at work certificate Experience of towing trailers

Person Specification

We are looking for a team player, who is also self-motivated and can work on their own initiative.

A 'can do' attitude and good attention to detail is essential, along with a high standard of work and professionalism.

The successful candidate will be personable, approachable and have good communication skills, to liaise with clients while on site.

April to October are our busy summer months, so we are looking for someone who is willing to work overtime if required.
