Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves hands-on gardening tasks, ensuring the health and beauty of our outdoor spaces. The Gardener will be responsible for maintaining the grass, strumming, bed maintenance, adding compost to beds, laying landscape fabric, netting plants and weeding.

Responsibilities

Cultivate and maintain gardens by planting, watering, weeding, and pruning plants. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks. Implement irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of plants. Perform landscape maintenance including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and clearing debris. Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases that may affect growth. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening equipment and work areas.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools such as spades, rakes, and shears. Experience in groundskeeping with a focus on maintaining outdoor spaces. Knowledge of growing techniques for various types of plants and flowers. Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. Ability to operate power tools safely for gardening tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a creative eye for garden aesthetics.

The role is for a 1- 2 acre flower farm. Ideal working hours and days would be Wednesday and Thursday 8am-2pm. But this can be discussed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 12 per week
