We are seeking a

Gardener Team Leader

to lead a small team of gardeners ensuring high standard and excellent customer service. Based in Kendal, we are a growing business dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces for our customers in and around the Lake District.

The salary for this position is 14 to 15 per hour, working 40 hours per week. Salary will be offered based on experience.

As a member of our busy gardening teams, you'll have the chance to contribute to the success of our teams by mentoring others and interacting with customers on a daily basis.

Main duties include:

Daily supervision of a small team of gardeners on weekly and fortnightly rota's all year round Liaising with customers to understand desired goals and managing expectations Maintain and care for gardens and landscapes Various gardening duties such as grass cutting, weeding, pruning, edging and trimming Operate tools effectively and safely Conduct small team meetings and performance evaluations in accordance with our progression plans
Working hours are 07:30am to 4:30pm with a 1 hour break, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will have:

Manual UK Driving licence (essential) Previous gardening experience Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers Physically active and able to carry out manual handling Passion for outdoors and gardens Team oriented and ability to motivate others Attention to detail
