We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. Duties
Planting, pruning, and trimming shrubs, trees, and flowers to promote healthy growth.
Using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes for various gardening tasks.
Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers to maintain grounds.
Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants.
Applying fertilisers, pesticides, and other treatments as required to sustain plant health.
Designing and implementing landscape features in collaboration with clients or team members.
Regularly inspecting outdoor areas for pests, diseases, or hazards and taking appropriate action.
Assisting with seasonal planting and soil preparation activities.
Maintaining organisation of tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Skills
Practical experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Knowledge of irrigation systems and their installation or repair.
Growing experience with different plant species, soil types, and climate considerations.
Strong understanding of horticultural practices and landscape design principles.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
Organised approach to work with good time management skills.
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and manoeuvring equipment over extended periods.
