What you will bring




To be successful in this role you will need exceptional gardening skills, with a genuine passion for horticulture, be able to share your expertise with a team of hugely enthusiastic staff and volunteers, motivate them, manage their work and take our gardens, grounds and even trees to the next level.


Specifically: we are looking for someone with estate garden management experience, a strong track record of leading teams, has good all round plant knowledge and enjoys getting their hands dirty. Excellent communications skills a must, while knowledge of tree management, and project management experience would be a real advantage.


You will be driven by our cause and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment as part of a close team - to deliver on our strategy takes real teamwork, energy and passion, no two days are ever the same!

As a manager you will be expected and supported to take part in the Leadership and Management training programme offered by Rowcroft.


This role requires you to be on call 1 week out of 3.
