Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Presser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that garments are expertly pressed and presented to the highest standards. This position is essential for maintaining the quality and appearance of our clients' clothing, particularly in a hotel environment where presentation is key.

Responsibilities

Operate pressing machines and equipment to press garments, ensuring they are free from wrinkles and creases. Inspect garments for any defects or damages before pressing, reporting any issues to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pressing area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Follow specific instructions for different fabrics and garment types to avoid damage. Collaborate with team members to manage workflow efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Assist in sorting and hanging pressed garments appropriately for delivery or storage.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a pressing or laundry environment is preferred, particularly within a hotel setting. Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality and presentation. Ability to operate pressing machines safely and effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle various garment types.
