Key Responsibilities
Auditing Compliance
: Conduct regular audits of the Daubney Gas Engineer team to ensure compliance with gas safety regulations and standards.
Focal Point for Gas Queries
: Act as the main point of contact for any gas-related queries, providing expert advice and guidance.
Host and Manage 3rd Party Audits
: Organize and oversee third-party audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation and records are available and up-to-date.
Maintain Audit Records
: Keep detailed records of all audits conducted, including findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
Report on Compliance
: Prepare and present reports on compliance status, highlighting any areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
Additional Responsibilities
Training and Development
: Arrange training and support for gas engineers to ensure they are aware of and comply with current regulations, maintain competence, and are consistent in approach.
Policy Development
: Assist in the development and implementation of Daubney Ltd gas safety policies and procedures.
Incident Investigation
: Investigate any gas-related incidents or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement
: Continuously review and improve gas safety practices and procedures to enhance compliance and safety
Document overview
: Ensure Gas records are retrievable are consistent and appropriate across the business.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Gas Safety Expertise
: In-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations, codes of practice, and standards. Preferably Gas qualified.
Management Skills:
Ability to manage teams, contractors, and projects related to gas installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with gas fitting, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers and contractors.
Qualifications
Proven experience in gas management or a related field is essential.
Strong understanding of gas regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with staff and external stakeholders.
Relevant certifications in gas management or safety would be advantageous.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
