Job Description

We're looking for a proactive and technically skilled Gas Compliance Manager to lead our gas safety and compliance operations at First Choice Homes Oldham. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of gas compliance across the organisation, acting as the subject matter expert and ensuring our properties meet all statutory and regulatory requirements. You'll manage a high-performing team, oversee heating system repair contracts, and deliver excellent customer service. You will also lead the development of policies and procedures, provide specialist advice and guidance, and manage and mitigate risk. Through strong leadership and collaboration, you will drive continuous improvement and high levels of performance across all aspects of gas safety.

Key Duties:



Lead a multi-disciplinary team ensuring resident safety and full compliance. Manage all aspects of gas safety, servicing, and responsive heating repairs. Ensure compliance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. Collaborate with teams across fire safety, water hygiene, electrical, and more. Maintain valid certifications across all relevant homes and assets. Act as technical lead for gas compliance policies and procedures. Provide input on new developments and refurbishments. Respond to enforcement notices and manage complaints effectively. Prepare and monitor annual budgets and performance forecasts. Support out-of-hours gas compliance emergencies.

Knowledge of heat network regulations (Desireable) Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle Strong leadership and team management Excellent communication and customer service High attention to detail and problem-solving Contract and budget management Data analysis and report writing Collaborative working and stakeholder engagement ACS/GasSafe Registered Engineer (Desireable)
