Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Gas Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting gas systems across various industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of gas-related infrastructure, contributing to the success of complex projects within the oil & gas sector. Responsibilities



Lead the planning and scheduling of gas engineering projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety standards and regulations. Conduct detailed system design and drafting using CAD software, integrating civil, mechanical, chemical, and process engineering principles. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of gas systems in compliance with ASME codes & standards and industry best practices. Perform site inspections on oil rigs and other industrial facilities, applying geotechnical engineering insights to optimize system performance. Utilize GIS technology for mapping and spatial analysis related to pipeline routes and infrastructure layouts. Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including reports, procedures, and control systems manuals through technical writing expertise. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams--including civil engineers, geotechnical specialists, and process engineers--to ensure seamless project execution. Monitor project progress through effective project scheduling and controlling experience to meet deadlines and budgets. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, environmental policies, and quality standards while maintaining a focus on risk mitigation. Support system design modifications based on operational feedback and evolving project requirements.

Experience



Proven experience in oil & gas projects with a strong background in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or chemical engineering. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, project engineering, and controlling complex projects within industrial environments. Familiarity with oil rig operations, horizontal drilling techniques, and geotechnical considerations relevant to underground infrastructure. Hands-on experience with CAD drafting tools for system design; proficiency in GIS applications is highly desirable. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to pressure vessels, piping systems, and safety protocols. Strong understanding of mechanical knowledge combined with civil engineering principles for infrastructure development. Experience in controlling project workflows from inception through completion while managing technical documentation effectively. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately; excellent technical writing skills are essential.
