Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gas installation and maintenance, demonstrating proficiency with hand tools and power tools. The Gas Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of gas systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, systems, and associated equipment. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and quality. Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues with gas systems. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working on-site.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively. Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transportation of materials. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Relevant certifications or qualifications in gas engineering are mandatory.
Salary is dependant on experience.
