Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in various environments. As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a keen attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations to ensure the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain gas appliances, systems, and equipment in compliance with relevant regulations. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to identify potential issues or hazards. Perform repairs on faulty gas systems, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Assemble and plumb gas connections using appropriate tools and techniques. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during each job. Adhere to health and safety guidelines while working on-site to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to gas engineering tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various gas systems. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. Experience with heavy lifting as required for transporting equipment and materials. Ability to weld when necessary for specific installations or repairs. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transporting equipment between job sites.
