We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various technical skills, including plumbing and assembly. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality while performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on gas systems. The Gas Engineer will work in diverse environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial settings. Conduct safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform tasks effectively. Assemble components of gas systems according to specifications. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plumbers and carpenters, to complete projects. Perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Proficiency in plumbing, welding, carpentry, and assembly techniques. Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for various tasks. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous but not essential. Commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace.
