Gatehouse Operative

Location:

London Gateway

Hours:

05:30-13:30 or 13:00-21:00 (plus additional hours as required)

Are you organised, detail-focused, and great at multitasking? Ziegler UK is seeking a reliable Gatehouse Operative to manage vehicle movements and security at our busy London Gateway site.
This is a key role ensuring smooth logistics operations through accurate booking, communication, and strict safety protocols.

What You'll Do:

Control and monitor all vehicle arrivals and departures at the gatehouse Verify driver and vehicle details; check delivery documentation Operate vehicle booking-in system efficiently Ensure only authorised access in line with security procedures Communicate arrivals to warehouse and relevant teams promptly Maintain detailed transport logs and reports Enforce site safety and security standards Support stock counts and complete administrative duties during downtime Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism and care

What We're Looking For:

Strong teamwork and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and methodical work approach Good numeracy and IT skills, comfortable using mobile scanners and booking systems Ability to manage multiple vehicle movements calmly and efficiently Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Understanding of health and safety requirements Flexible and willing to learn new skills
Desirable:

Previous experience in logistics, gatehouse, or warehouse roles Full UK driving license
