Job Description

Are you a confident, approachable individual with a strong sense of responsibility and a passion for safety? We are looking for a Security Operative to deliver a professional, welcoming, and effective security presence at our site.

As the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and contractors, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment while representing our company with integrity and professionalism.

What you will be doing:



Monitor and manage site access and barrier control. Conduct regular internal and external patrols to ensure site safety. Maintain a visible presence at the gatehouse to deter security risks. Challenge suspicious or unacceptable behaviour professionally. Welcome and assist visitors, providing helpful guidance and information. Support HGV arrivals and liaise with transport and warehouse teams. Record data using company IT and warehouse systems. Respond to emergencies and assist with evacuations and drills. Operate and monitor CCTV and alarm systems. Issue parking notices and conduct searches when required. Maintain security equipment and ensure cleanliness of working areas. Handle deliveries and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Calm under pressure with a proactive attitude Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Comfortable working shifts and performing patrols Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential

Role requirements

:

Current SIA Security license for Security Guarding or Door Supervision Proof of a clear CRB Previous supervisory/ or lone working experience
The hours of work will be full time working will be annualised hours: working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days 7AM- 7PM, followed by 2 nights). Due to the nature of working within a small team, there is a requirement for flexibility towards the shift pattern due to needing to provide cover as and when required for absent colleagues. Overtime is payable beyond contracted hours at enhanced rates.
