Play an integral part working within an ever-changing intelligence environment?

The East Midlands Special Operations Unit are looking to recruit a Gateway Manger, on a full-time permanent basis to join the Regional Intelligence Unit, based at Junction 27 of the M1.

Gateway is a newly established function within the ROCU network based within the intelligence department and most likely within or with access to the SIU and as the Gateway Manager you will be responsible for coordinating the Gateway function within the region, undertaking intelligence enrichment and development to add further value of the material being provided, in some instances without the requestor being informed of the source of that material.

Key Accountabilities

  • Undertake intelligence enrichment and development to add further value of the material being provided, in some instances without the requestor being informed of the source of that material. This may include being an applicant under the IP Act
  • Manage & build rapport across the ROCU capabilities in order to bring together the relevant Subject Matter Experts in response to an operational problem/challenge, identifying the best method to fill an intelligence gap
  • Through the Gateway portal, receipt and evaluation of partners\' requests for capability access, risk transfer or SOC review. Identify and consider options for meeting those requests and recommending solutions, including local, regional and national capabilities.
  • Understand the full range and remit of ROCU capabilities and have knowledge of other law enforcement agency service and capabilities in order to advise on the most appropriate response to a SOC threat.
The must haves
  • To be educated to degree level or equivalent and or be able to demonstrate experience of working at that level
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including IPA 2016, RIPA 2000, Data Protection
  • experience of working in an intelligence environment, including the handling of sensitive intelligence and tactics.
  • Experience of problem solving in an operational environment including the ability to make informed decisions based on sound judgement and reasoning
