YOUR IMPACT

We are looking for a professional and dynamic individual, with experience onboarding, managing and optimizing flexible assets, to join our Power Operations team. Flexible asset experience is highly preferred but renewable asset experience would beneficial. Working knowledge and experience in intraday and day-ahead scheduling as well as experience in auctions across Euro power markets would also be advantageous. Candidates would be able to support the business area through working with multiple stakeholders and helping to develop key design solutions, drawn from their experience. They should have a keen eye for detail, with a key focus on operational & delivery risk and are able to multi-task and work well under pressure.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develop the processes and controls that make business flow.


Power operations are responsible for managing all aspects of physical deliveries of Power for the European Power business. The team partners very closely with the Trading business to assist them in managing any risks which arise from our Power trading. We also compile market intelligence and analysis for the Trading desk using our knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of the European Power and Renewables markets. The team partners with Sales, Legal, Technology and other internal stakeholders to on- board new physical transactions , markets and products.


HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



Support the operations of the Power & Flexible Asset franchise, working closely with key stakeholders across multiple divisions to ensure operational continuity Possess relevant asset and operations experience and knowledge to on-board assets and build processes and operational risk controls with scale Develop a understanding of the Power Industry to enable the impact of any market structure changes to be understood and communicated to the Business and other internal stakeholders Ensure all market structure changes are managed to ensure continued participation in physical market and auction platforms Partner with Technology to further enhance systems and processes

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR



Basic Qualifications



Experience in onboarding, operating and optimizing flows of flexible assets - key focus on battery storage assets. Renewable asset operations (wind, solar) would be beneficial. Understanding of TSO processes and procedures across multiple dimensions, to include registering and onboarding assets, scheduling protocols, data exchange requirements, etc Experience across asset types and generation managed through virtual power plants Understanding of: + Asset Metering
+ Asset Registrations and Qualifications
+ Market Participation in Balancing Services
Strong time management skills Ability to work well under pressure and with competing tasks Technical & Analytical Focus with attention to detail Ability to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment Team oriented approach - openness and good communication skills within the team and the ability to work across functions inside and outside of Operations Innovative and able to suggest & implement ideas to complement & develop new processes as they evolve with the business Self-motivated to manage projects and seek opportunities to enhance business benefit. A good focus on control issues, processes and procedures A European language whilst not essential would be advantageous

Preferred Qualifications



2-3 years' industry experience working with flexible assets Good knowledge of Euro Power markets (specifically German and GB) and asset optimization Advanced Excel Skills preferred Project Management Communication & Presentation skills
