Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Mathematics Tutor to join our team at

EdifyPod Learning

, delivering high-quality tuition across

Years 9-13 (GCSE & A-Level)

. This is a unique opportunity to work with ambitious students preparing for selective school entry, GCSEs, and A-Levels.

The ideal candidate will be a

qualified teacher (QTS)

with at least

5 years' secondary school teaching experience

and must also be an

examiner for one or more major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge, etc.)

.

Key Responsibilities



Teach Mathematics to students in

Years 9-13

, covering both GCSE and A-Level content. Deliver engaging, structured lessons that align with

exam board specifications

. Share

examiner insight

to prepare students with exam techniques, time management, and common pitfalls. Provide

personalised feedback and progress tracking

to each student. Contribute to the design of

practice papers, assessments, and revision resources

. Support students with

exam preparation strategies

, including mock exams and structured revision programmes. Communicate effectively with parents about progress and exam readiness.

Essential Requirements



Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Minimum

5 years' teaching experience

in secondary school (GCSE and/or A-Level).

Current examiner status

with a recognised UK exam board (mandatory). Strong knowledge of

GCSE and A-Level specifications

across multiple boards. Proven track record of

raising student achievement

in Mathematics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire confidence and motivate students.

Desirable Qualities



Experience teaching in

selective schools

or preparing students for

11+/13+ entry

. Evidence of producing

outstanding student outcomes

(grades, progression to top universities). Experience delivering

online lessons

effectively. Strong organisational skills, with ability to manage

assessment data and progress tracking

. Willingness to contribute to EdifyPod's

holistic teaching framework

(exam tips, mindset, confidence-building).
Job Types: Temporary, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 20.00-40.00 per hour
