The Impact Academy specialises in teaching GCSE Maths & Science to secondary school students from age 11 to 18. We are a rapidly growing online education provider, known for high standards, strong student outcomes, and a structured, supportive approach to learning.
We are currently looking for an
engaging and highly motivated GCSE Maths Tutor
to join our team and support our students through to their GCSE exams.
Note: You must have the right to live and work in the UK

WHAT THE ROLE INCLUDES:
Teaching
GCSE Maths
to Impact Academy students, primarily in
small online groups (2-3 students)
Delivering structured, high-quality online lessons
Supporting students with homework and exam-style questions, providing clear feedback during lessons
Monitoring and recording
homework completion, attendance, and punctuality
Writing brief progress updates while maintaining full confidentiality
Preparing tailored lesson plans aligned with students' needs and goals
Participate in training and development sessions to improve tutoring practices and/or learn new tutoring techniques.
Contribute to preparing curriculum, timelines, lesson videos and other additional admin tasks as needed.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Our ideal candidate will:
Have
strong GCSE Maths knowledge
and confidence teaching Grades 7-9
Have experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths, with evidence of improving student outcomes
Be comfortable working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
Have good knowledge of the
UK national curriculum
Be reliable, professional, and well-organised
Have a genuine passion for Maths and for helping students succeed
Be willing to go above and beyond to support student progress
Be
committed to tutoring on a long-term basis
Bonus:
A specialism in
GCSE Physics
is an advantage, but not essential.
Availability & Commitment
To start with, the role involves
one lesson per week (1 hour)
You must be available on
Thursdays at approximately 6:30pm
There is
potential for additional lessons
over time
Pay & Commitment
15-20 per hour
for non-qualified tutors (depending on experience)
30 per hour
for qualified teachers
This role is ideal for tutors or teachers looking for
consistent, structured work
rather than ad-hoc hourly tutoring.
