Duties:
Lead and supervise a team of Gelato Servers, ensuring excellent customer service and a positive, energetic atmosphere.
Serve a variety of gelato flavours, milkshakes, and cold beverages to customers, ensuring high-quality presentation and customer satisfaction.
Ensure that all team members are accurately taking customer orders, operating equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Adapt to and introduce new products or promotions, training the team and ensuring smooth execution.
Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and care, providing solutions and support when needed.
Operate gelato freezers, blenders, and other beverage machines while maintaining high safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure the store meets all cleanliness and food safety protocols.
Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and preparation tasks for the next shift.
Ensure accurate cash register transactions and manage cash handling procedures.
Monitor team performance, provide guidance and feedback, and foster a collaborative environment.
Ensure the team follows company policies and procedures, maintaining high service standards during busy periods.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a similar environment (e.g., gelato shop, ice cream parlor, cafe) is required.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
Knowledge of food safety practices, hygiene standards, and store operations.
Ability to adapt quickly to new products, seasonal changes, and operational adjustments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and lead a team effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly when handling customer concerns or staff-related issues.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively during peak hours.
Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
