Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality services, providing exceptional guest experiences, and supporting various functions within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and catering, with a passion for food safety and guest services.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and presentation in accordance with food safety standards. Provide excellent service to guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously. Support catering operations by setting up and clearing dining areas efficiently. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness and organisation of workspaces. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy. Maintain stock levels of supplies and report any shortages to management. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with catering services and food preparation techniques is an advantage. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Experience in guest services, ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. Culinary experience or hotel experience will be considered beneficial for this role. Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: 12.21 per hour
