We are now recruiting for a

General Assistant

to join our friendly and hardworking team at one of our Independant Schools in Doncaster.

This is a permanent position working 15 hours, Monday to Friday, 2pm - 5pm but can be flexible if required.

TERM TIME ONLY

What you'll be doing:

Assisting with basic food preparation and dessert pots

Supporting function set-ups, BBQs, buffets, and events

Helping to deliver freshly prepared school meals for teachers and students in a busy, fast-paced environment

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace

Working proactively and independently as well as part of the team

What we're looking for:

A positive, honest, and reliable team player

Someone proactive and able to work on their own initiative

Enthusiasm for delivering great service in a catering environment

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Have experience working in a similar role and environment

Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment

Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety

Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy

Have excellent customer service and social skills

Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff

Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 7

Be customer focused

Have basic food knowledge

Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
