About The Role

The Home provides both residential and dementia care in separate areas of the Home.



The facilities include a residents pub, hair and beauty salon's, sweet shop, cinema, bowls green and large gardens.



Cottingham Manor is currently recruiting for

General Assistants (with care elements)

12.60 per hour (12.70 with NVQ2)

Free DBS check

Shift hours either earlies/lates - 18 or 24 hours a week (6 hours per shift)

This role will include some weekend work

It is essential that all our staff are;

Overview of


Personal Care duties. Domestic Assistant duties. To maintain Health and safety throughout the home for residents, visitors and staff. To keep a high standard of appearance and tidiness throughout the home and to respect each residents' belongings being mindful of their privacy and dignity in their rooms and to their personal property To ensure that every resident enjoys clean and well maintained laundry and that this is presented to the required standard. To carry out general kitchen and dining room duties, such as setting tables, washing up and serving meals to residents. Servery duties including basic meal preparation (Toast/Porridge/Eggs/Sandwiches etc) serving meals, tidying and cleaning tables etc May include at times taking meals to Residents rooms and tidying away once finished. May be a requirement to carry out the Tea round - taking the tea/coffee trolley around the floor room to room asking residents what they would like
