Duties

Construct and assemble building frameworks using wood, metal, and other materials. Fabricate and install roofs, ensuring proper insulation and waterproofing. Perform masonry work, including laying bricks, blocks, and stones. Carry out painting tasks to finish surfaces as required. Conduct electrical installations and repairs as needed. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Plumb structures to ensure proper alignment and functionality. Weld components together when necessary for structural integrity. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Builder or in a similar construction role. Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour for extended periods. Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction or related fields are advantageous.
