Stephen James Consulting are delighted to be working with one of their elderly care clients. In the search for a General Care Manager (RGN) based in Hertfordshire.

This large purpose-built care home offers 24-hour nursing care for adults with life-long physical conditions, particularly those with Acquired Brain Injuries and neurological conditions and 24-hour nursing care for those aged 65 and over. The home is benefits from having a large, dedicated team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care.

You will be responsible for:

• Provide leadership and direction to and monitor the performance of the care home team.

• Work with the SMT to drive continuously improving outcomes for the residents, including through the adoption of a \xe2\x80\x98risk aware\xe2\x80\x99 rather than \xe2\x80\x98risk averse\xe2\x80\x99 approach to care and support.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and revenue for the site.

• Ensuring that notifications to all relevant regulatory bodies are submitted in an appropriate time-frame, including to the CQC, Health and Safety Executive, Commissioners, and Local Authority safeguarding team.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and referral sources to increase client base and revenue.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the highest quality of care and support for residents.

• Develop and manage a sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth and achievement of revenue targets.

• Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for new service offerings or partnerships.

To be considered for this role of General Care Manager (RGN) you will need the following experience:

• You must be a qualified Nurse (NMC Registration) essential.

• You will have at least 3 years senior management experience within nursing or complex elderly care.

• You will have regional or experienced in managing large nursing care homes \xe2\x80\x93 essential.

• Proven track record of service improvement across with excellent proven commercial acumen

• You will have demonstrated exceptional leadership across multi-disciplinary teams and be an expert in achieving the best results from staff teams.

• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
