We are seeking a dedicated and efficient General Catering Assistant to join our night shift team in Hull, United Kingdom. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering excellent food service.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for night-time service
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
Follow food safety and hygiene standards rigorously
Support the kitchen team in various tasks, including washing up and cleaning duties
Manage stock levels and assist with inventory control
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during night shifts
Respond promptly to customer requests and maintain a customer-focused approach
Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment
Qualifications
Food hygiene certificate (required)
Previous experience in catering or food service (preferred)
Proficiency in food preparation and handling techniques
Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Strong cleaning and sanitation skills
Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and measurements
Excellent time management and organisational abilities
Team player with good communication skills
GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent (preferred)
Physical stamina to work night shifts and perform kitchen duties
Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed
