Catering Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Manager to oversee our busy catering operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and team management, ensuring that our catering services meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, as well as the ability to manage various aspects of food production and service. This is 5 over 7 but mainly Monday to Friday, flexibility is required to operate this business at our flag ship site.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all catering activities, ensuring seamless execution of events. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Manage a team of culinary staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Develop menus in collaboration with clients, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all catering operations. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly. Collaborate with other departments within the organisation to ensure cohesive service delivery. Compliance with KPI

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the catering or restaurant industry. Strong culinary experience with a focus on food production and preparation techniques. Background in hospitality management, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations. Experience in event planning or coordination is an advantage. Previous experience in hotel or barista settings is desirable but not essential.
