We have a fantastic opportunity for a Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprentice to join the team at Tucker and Sons Ltd Farm at East Bradninch, Barnstaple, North Devon.

In this Apprenticeship role on the farm you will get involved in :

Milking and assisting with general animal care Supporting with calving duties Participating in pasture and grazing management Carrying out general yard work Undertaking routine farm maintenance Performing other tasks as required to support the smooth running of the farm

Hours of work :

40 Hours per week on a Rota basis (Monday-Sunday between the hours of 6am-8pm)

Pay rate :

National Minimum Wage Apprentice 7.55 per hour

Start date:

August/September 2025.



Entry requirements



We would prefer to have someone who has some farm knowledge/experience and because of location you will need to have your own transport.



Training to be provided



You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship.



As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in agriculture.



Training will be a mix of face to face and online learning.



You will gain a General Farm Worker Level 2 qualification with further opportunities for training, development and permanent employment upon completion.

Due to the farm location and unreliable bus service, candidates will need to have a full UK driving licence and own transport.
