General Farm Worker - Stone & Top Fruit Farm - Kent + 30,000 - 50,000 DOE
The Job:
The successful candidate will take on a broad range of responsibilities, supporting the day-to-day running of the farm throughout the year. This is a varied position covering all aspects of fruit production and general farm maintenance, with working patterns that reflect the seasonality of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of stone and top fruit production, including pruning, thinning, and harvesting
- Operate farm machinery and equipment as required- spraying, mowing
- Carry out general farm maintenance, including fencing, irrigation, and workshop tasks
- Support seasonal workers during busy periods to ensure smooth harvest operations
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and welfare for all staff and livestock on site
- Ensure produce is handled to quality assurance standards
- Adapt flexibly to changing priorities across the year
Working Hours:
- Harvest season: 6 days per week, 6:45am - 5:00pm
- Winter season: 5 days per week, 7:00am - 4:00/4:30pm
The Company:
We are representing a well-established 8-hectare stone and top fruit farm based in Faversham, Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and reliable General Farm Worker to join a close-knit team on a progressive fruit farm.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience in fruit farming, general farm work, or agriculture is highly desirable
- Competent with machinery operation and basic maintenance
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to seasonal workloads
- Driving licence essential.
The Package:
- Competitive salary of 30,000 - 50,000 DOE
