General Foreperson

Wills Bros Civil Engineering are seeking an experienced General Foreperson to join our team on a full-time permanent basis for an upcoming infrastructure project in Dalry, Ayrshire, commencing in January 2026.

About the Role



The successful candidate will play a key leadership role on-site, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Site Agent and Engineers to manage site staff, subcontractors and associated activities on a busy civil engineering project.

Key Responsibilities



Supervise and coordinate site works in line with project plans and health & safety regulations. Manage workforce and subcontractors to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met. Monitor progress, materials and equipment to support smooth project delivery. Ensure compliance with all environmental and H&S requirements. Participate in weekly progress meetings, reporting on programme and resourcing. Identify any issues and escalate accordingly Report regularly to the Site Manager/Agent on progress and site conditions.

Requirements



Proven experience as a General Foreperson on Civil Engineering / Road construction projects. Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, and surfacing. Valid CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, and other relevant tickets/certifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisation skills are vital Full UK in date valid driving licence.
