Based at St Gerard's Catholic Primary School kitchen in Thrybergh, this is a permanent post working 5 hours per week (1 hour per day). The hours are to be worked Monday through Friday on a term-time only basis, around the lunchtime period.



The post-holder will work as part of a hands-on busy team, delivering an essential and quality catering service in school.

You will be required to assist in:


The preparation, cooking and service of meals. Ensuring that all hygiene standards are maintained, and that food rooms and associated areas are cleaned to a required standard. Possession of a Food Safety Certificate Level 2 is desirable or willingness to undertake available training to attain certificate. A uniform will be provided.

The successful candidate will be employed by Rotherham Council until October half term 2025. Following this date, kitchen staff at St Gerard's will be transferred to and employed by another catering company but will be entitled to Rotherham Council's employment contract terms and conditions.
