Range:

30,000-35,000 per annum dependant on age & experience.

Contracted Site Hours:

Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4:30pm 40hrs approx. with occasional Saturday's paid at time &

Location

Draycott in the Clay, near Marchington. (travel to site is provided from here)

You must have a full clean driving license and own vehicle for travel to Draycott in the clay.

Overview

We are a small, successful family run business, constructing steel framed buildings in the agricultural and industrial sectors. As a company, we pride ourselves on providing high quality bespoke buildings with high standards of workmanship. The Director, Ian has been working as a Steel Erector for over 36 years, so you will work alongside and learn on site from someone who is highly skilled, experienced and very much hands on. We do everything from the foundations upwards included, erecting the steel frame, fitting the vertical cladding, concrete panels, roofing, guttering etc.

Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, fit, trust worthy, reliable and hardworking individual to become part of our efficient, small team. This position requires the individual to be fit and healthy in order to be able to carry out duties of physical labouring, they must have a head for working at height and like working outdoors all year round, as the majority of our work is working in a farming environment, in all weathers. Full training can be provided, on site and externally where appropriate.

It would also be beneficial for the person to have a real interest in developing their skills and knowledge in this unique construction role, with the view to becoming an experienced Steel Erector. In return, we will invest in your personal development. As the business grows, there will be room for the right individual to grow with it.

Other tasks will include;

? general labouring tasks

? assist in the construction of steel frame buildings

? fitting roof sheets, guttering etc.

? cladding

? operating hand and power tools

? help maintain a tidy workplace including scrap into skips and stacking materials into neat piles

? driving a Cherry Picker, Scissor Lift or Telescopic Handler

Advantageous Experience:

General Labouring, Telehandler or Cherry Picker/Scissor lift driving experience, Asbestos Awareness, Health and Safety training would be an advantage.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Due to the nature of the work, phones will not be permitted on site due to health and safety rules and regulations. These can only be accessed during authorised break times.
