Job Description

Overall, Purpose:





Lead the general ledger and core accounting activities for Hubexos UKI Group, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial data across NBS, Glenigan, and CIS.


The Interim General Ledger Manager is responsible for maintaining high-quality financial reporting, strong balance sheet control, and consistent month-end delivery within NetSuite.


The role provides day-to-day leadership to the finance team, ensuring processes are efficient, well-governed, and fully aligned with Group accounting standards.



Principal Job Responsibilities:





Manage the general ledger function across all UKI entities, delivering timely and accurate month- end close, reconciliations, and reporting.


Lead and support a team of four, ensuring high performance, accountability, and adherence to deadlines.


Review and approve journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation.


Maintain effective financial controls and ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, Group policies, and statutory requirements.


Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery.


Act as the key contact for external auditors, coordinating responses and ensuring audit readiness.


Use NetSuite to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity across financial processes.


Deliver financial analysis and insights to support the UKI Finance leadership team in decision-making.


Collaborate with Finance Managers and Group Finance to maintain consistency and quality of reporting across entities.



Key Performance Indicators:





Month-end close completed accurately and to schedule.


All balance sheet reconciliations delivered and reviewed within deadlines.


Audit and payroll compliance maintained without exceptions.


Effective financial controls in place and operating consistently.


Finance team performance aligned to agreed service standards.


Qualifications & Experience: (E Essential; D Desirable)





Qualified accountant

(ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

or equivalent

E



Minimum 35 years experience in

accounting

or

financial control

roles

E



Experience

leading

or

supervising

a finance team

E



Advanced proficiency in

NetSuite

and Microsoft Excel

E



Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and UK GAAP/IFRS E

Excellent organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail E

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence across teams E

Experience working within a SaaS or multi-entity business D

Experience with Cognos, Power BI, or similar financial reporting and analytics tools D



Working Relationships:-



Internal: Reports to: Reports to VP UKI Finance. Works closely with Finance Managers across NBS, Glenigan, and CIS, as well as Group Finance.



External: Auditors, payroll providers, and third-party advisors.
